Till Hoffmann was born in Freiburg/Breisgau in 1996.
He is a first prize winner of numerous renowned competitions such as the piano competition “Ton und Erklärung” 2019 or the Tonali Competition 2016. In 2018, he achieved the 4th prize at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig.
Since 2017 he debuted at festivals and hosts like the Heidelberger Frühling, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, the Oberstdorfer Musiksommer, at the Konzertdirektion Hörtnagel Munich.
He has also played with important orchestras such as the Mariinsky Orchestra of St. Petersburg, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Deutsche Radio-Philharmonie Saarbrücken/ Kaiserslautern, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra Leipzig and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
Till Hoffmann received his first piano lessons at the age of 6. From 2005 he was taught by Nella and Andrej Jussow at the Stuttgart Music School. He later studied at the Karlsruhe University of Music in the class of Prof. Kaya Han and moved to Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the HMTM Hannover in 2018.
Till Hoffmann is a founding member and pianist of the Trio E.T.A., which has been intensively involved in chamber music since 2019. In 2021, the trio won the “Deutscher Musikwettbewerb” Prize, the Rotary Club Special Prize and the “Preis der Freunde junger Musiker Deutschland”. Concerts are planned throughout Germany in the 2021/22 season. The ensemble’s debut CD will be released on the GENUIN label.
He is a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation and the Gundlach Foundation.
